The first diesel engine with direct injection "OM352 (5675 cm3, 130 hp) was presented in 1967 on the L / LP1113 B model and then used on many other trucks. In 1968, 8.2-liter engine with an output of 170-190 hp was added to the range. It were used on "1017/1919" models. The middle range "1619/2220" was equipped with the old 10.8-liter diesel engine with an output of 192-218 hp.
