In 1964, a light range of cabover trucks LP was introduced. The first showed model was the "LP911" with a short cab and a nearly flat front mask. After a few years more models were added to the range - from "LP608" to "LP913" with GVW of 6-9 tons with 4- and 6-cylinder diesel engines (85-130 hp) and 5-speed manual gearboxes. LP608 with a 80 hp OM314 engine was introduced in 1965, and LP808 with payload of 7.5 tons - in 1967. Until 1984 over 300 thousand trucks of 1st and 2nd series were produced.
