The Actros MP2 SLT version is made for extra-heavy loads. Gross combination vehicle weight (GCVW) could be up to 250 tons. The eight-cylinder 16-liters Mercedes-Benz V8 OM 502 LA with turbocharger is equipped with a diesel technology BlueTec-5 and has a power of 447 kW (609 hp) and a maximum torque of 2400 Nm at 1080 rpm. Also it is possible to install less powerful 540 hp engine. The Actros SLT is equipped in standard with the largest water-cooled radiator, which is in production. The transmission Mercedes-Benz G 240 has 16 speeds, fluid flywheel WSK 400 and retarder. Thanks to a two-stage transfer gearbox Mercedes-Benz VG 2400-3W with a reduction gear, it prevents interruption during gear changes, reducing traction when driving on slippery surfaces.
