MAN » SLW2000
In 1992, at the IAA show, the company MAN introduced the concept truck for urban distribution - the SW2000. The idea of optimizing of urban transportation was to reorganize the delivery system. One of the variants was to create special transshipment terminal on outskirts of large cities where the cargoes could be reload from highway trucks to urban distribution vehicles. The MAN concept is perfect for urban deliveries - the length is less than 8 m, width 2.40 m, the rounded corner of the body, a large glass area, all-steer wheels. It looks more like a bus, but can carry up to 4.5 tons. Loading and unloading operations are facilitated by a low loading height. Engine is a diesel 4-cylinder with capacity 4,400 cc and a power of 145 hp.
