MAN » Phoenix

After the success of the racing Phoenix model in the European championship, the road version was presented. Mainly it was a long-haul tractor (based on the serial MAN chassis) with a black color, fitted with a homemade "sleeper" cab and exhaust chrome pipes. The hood was decorated with the emblem of phoenix bird. In the mid-nineties, Gerd Körber lost interest to its project (which must have been very costly). The Phoenix model was not very popular: because of its length they could carry only special short trailers. In general, the production died out by itself.
