Ural » 53099 "Typhoon-U-T"

At the "Army-2018" military show in Kubinka, Ural automobile plant showed a new armored truck Ural 53099 "Typhoon-U-T" 4x4. The truck belongs to the "Typhoon-U" military family and is the most compact model in the range.

The all-welded body has armor protection against 14.5 mm caliber weapons and detonating eight kilograms of explosives under the bottom accommodates 8 people. Inside there is a heater and air conditioning, as well as a special filter-ventilation system which help in contaminated areas.

Ural-53099 "Typhoon-U-T" weighs 14.5 tonnes and can carry up to 2 tonnes of cargo, as well as tow a five-ton trailer. It is equipped with a YaMZ turbodiesel with a capacity of 312 hp, which allows it to reach maximum speed of 100 kph on a highway and has a range of 1000 km.
