Dongfeng Tianlong (天龙) is one of the most popular models of the company. The range includes 4х2, 6х2 and 6х4 tractors. Early models were equipped with French Renault diesels with a capacity of 375-420 horsepower, which were joined with manual or automated gearboxes ZF. Later, the company began equipping Tianlong with own engines Dongfeng Fengshen or Dongfeng Cummins.

In the spring of 2011, Dongfeng showed an updated version with a slight change in the design of the exterior and interior. The cab has got a new trapezoidal shaped grille, deflectors of the cabin and chassis covers, the interior has got a new dashboard and steering wheel.

In 2016, Dongfeng presented a version with a 13-liter 450 hp Dongfeng Cummins diesel. One year later, in 2017, Tianlong became available with more powerful versions of this engine with an outpit of 480, 520 and 560 horsepower. In addition, the trucks are equipped with 11-liter Dongfeng Fengshen engines with a capacity of 385, 420 and 450 horsepower, a 9-liter Dongfeng Cummins ISL9.5 with a capacity of 400 horsepower, and a 13-liter natural gas engine.

Almost all trucks are equipped with high roof cabins with a sleeping compartment, although there are versions with a short day cab and a low roof. The model range also includes modifications with a narrow cabin, which differ in the design of the front end with vertical headlights.
