In the summer of 2018 BELAZ added a new 290-ton BelAZ-75230 mining dump truck to the lineup, which took place between 240- and 360-ton dumpers.

BELAZ created the new model according to the needs of the world market. Nowadays dump trucks of such load-carrying capacity are in great demand in North America, Africa, Indonesia. Modern careers are getting deeper, which means that the payload of dump trucks should be increased. The most likely markets for the sale of BELAZ-75230 are Chile, Peru, Argentina.

The new dump truck is equipped with a Cummins diesel engine with a power of 2125 kW (2850 hp), which works together with a new generation electric transmission by General Electric. The new transmission also allows the following functions: anti-skid system; traction control system; speed stabilization systems on the descent; automation of speed limits; monitoring and diagnostic systems. Suspension of the dump truck is pneumohydraulic with built-in hydraulic shock absorber.
