DFAC » EV300 / EV350
In 2016, DongFeng presented the pure electric delivery truck DFAC EV300. It uses the N series cab, similar to the one that is installed on DFAC Captain trucks.
A synchronous electric motor with permanent magnets produces 60 kW, or about 80 hp, and a torque of 358 Nm. This should be enough for urban deliveries. Lithium-ion batteries are located in special compartments on both sides of the chassis. The range is only about 160 km. The brake system and power steering have a hydraulic drive.
The interior of the EV300 almost completely repeats the base cabin N. The main difference is the LCD on the instrument panel, which displays information about the operation of the electric motor and the remaining charge. The gearbox selector allows you to choose between a single front, neutral and rear gear. Air conditioning is the standard equipment.
In 2018, Dongfeng updated the models and presented the DFAC EV350. The truck received an electric motor with a power of 100 kW (135 hp) and torque of 478 Nm. It is not only more powerful but also quieter by 9 dB. The capacity of batteries was increased from 77 to 99.8 kWh. They have a heating system to work in cold conditions The mileage per charge is increased to 210 kilometers for a truck with a gross weight of 6.8 tonnes (an empty one can travel up to 350 kilometers). Thanks to the use of lighter materials, the DFAC EV350 is 500 kilograms lighter than the EV300.
