KrAZ » 5401NE '18

In the middle of December 2017, AvtoKRAZ showed a serial version of the KrAZ-5401NE fire truck chassis, the prototype of which was demonstrated a year earlier. The chassis with a payload of 9.5 tonnes was designed in accordance with the technical requirements of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations and is intended for the installation of fire equipment. Its distinguishing feature is the use of a cabin made by Belarusian company MAZ. It is designed to carry 6 people.

KrAZ-5401NE can be equipped with one of three engines to choose from: YaMZ-238 DE2 330 hp; YaMZ-53602-30 312 hp; and WP10 / 380E32 380 hp. The 4x4 chassis has offroad tires and a central tire inflation system. Two fuel tanks with a capacity of 165 liters each provide a run up to 600 km. The car can reach speeds of more than 90 kph.

KrAZ installs Renault or Chinese Hubei cabins on its trucks, but they had to adapt the twin-row cabin from MAZ according to the specification of the government order. Kraz received an order for 25 KrAZ-5401NE trucks with a MAZ cabin.
