Kamaz showcased a new military chassis Kamaz 73501 (or Tornado K-73501) at the military show 'Army 2017'. Actually, it is a modified Kamaz 7350 chassis with a mechanical transmission instead of an electric-mechanical. The cabin is taken from the Model 6560M 'Tornado'.

Kamaz 73501 got a brand new inline six Kamaz 910.2 diesel rated at 550 hp. It was developed together with Liebherr company. Mass production will start in 2019. Automatic transmission is made by XIAN FC — the join-stock company of Shaanxi and Caterpillar.

'Tornado K-73501' is too wide for regular road. Its width is 3.3 meters. Similar to 'Volat' trucks which have to be replaced by the new Kamaz. Suspension is independent. Curb weight — 25 tonnes, GVW — 48 tonnes. The cabin is fully armored.
