At the International Military Forum "Army 2017" GAZ Group presented the prototype of an all-wheel drive truck 'Vepr-Next', which is actually a huge pickup. It is based on the new 'Sadko-Next' and should replace the military van GAZ 330811 'Vepr'.
It is fitted with a rigidly connected front axle, self-locking differentials, low gear (1,9:1), tire inflation system and a winch. Clearance — 315 mm. It got 149-hp YAMZ 534 turbodiesel. Payload is 2.5 tonnes.
A couple of weeks later at the COMTRANS-2017 GAZ Group showcased a version with an all-metal van body.
