GAZ Group presented the new 4-axle URAL 4142 8x8 chassis at the STT 2017 in Moscow. Payload - 30 tonnes, GVW - 44 tonnes. Optimal axles weight distribution (9+9+13+13 tonnes) provides excellent cross-country performance. The frame mounting length was increased to 8500 mm to mount special construction, crane and oil equipment.
URAL 4142 is fitted with YAMZ-653 Euro 5 diesel engine with an output of 422 hp. Gearbox is 16-speed manual ZF 16S2220TD. Transfer gearbox - 2-speed ZF VG2000. The cabin is 2-seat from old IVECO trucks. Mass production will start in 2018.
