January 2016, all Chinese commercial vehicles manufactures started production of new models, which comply with the new Chinese class 5 ecological standard. WAW presented the 3-axle 6x2 Aochi D6 twin-steer flatbed truck. It is fitted with a 4-cylinder 170 hp Yuchai YC4EG170-50 or 6-cylinder 180 hp Yuchai YC6J180-46 diesel. Gearbox - Fast 875, manual, 8-speed.
The chassis got a Ling Wo 2200 cabins with exterior design similar to DongFeng trucks. Like Aochi D5, the new Aochi D6 is equipped with an additional safety bar under the front bumper. Overall length of the flatbed cargo platform is 6800 mm, width - 2300 mm. It is smaller than cargo platforms of regular Chinese trucks (from 7700 to 9600 mm).
