Tests of the third generation of prototypes were finished in the summer of 1988. By the time the requirements for such vehicles had been changed significantly, and further development under this project was pointless. Despite this, the factory engineers tried to save their baby, creaed three combinations of vehicles for future test. One of the prototype which was made in 1990 was KrAZ 7E6315 with an extended engine compartment, which housed 420-hp engine YaMZ-8424 with two cooling radiators. The radiators were placed on the sides of the engine block. Capacity - 10 tonnes. KrAZ 7E6315 officially became the last prototype, created under this project.
