Auto Union » AU1500A
In 1941, the Central Bureau developed a 1.5-ton Army cabover truck Auto Union AU1500A (4x4) with a metal cabin, 62-horsepower engine Wanderer W23, lockable differentials, telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers in the suspension and centralized lubrication of chassis units. The following year several prototypes were collected and tested, but production did not start. Faster and cheaper solution was buying a license for a similar Austrian truck Steyr 1500A, which was produced in 1943-45 by Audi and Wanderer factories.
