DAF » 600 / 800 / 1000
DAF 600/800/1000 was not developed by DAF, but was made by Leyland in the early '80s and sold under the name Leyland Roadrunner. Following the acquisition in 1987 of Leyland by DAF company, Roadrunner with minimal changes started to sell as DAF. Unlike Leyland, DAF trucks 600 and 800 lost original pavement window on the left side of the cabin and looked more as standard. They were equipped with 120, 130 or 145 hp engines, the most powerful was with turbocharger. 10-ton version 1000 with a modified suspension, axles and larger wheels was introduced later, after the acquisition British Leyland by DAF.
