At the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in 1992 in Hanover, DAF presented a new generation of medium-duty trucks series 75 and 85. Trucks are designed to operate with trailers on medium and long distance routes, as well as in construction and public utilities. DAF Series 75 was equipped with 245, 272 and 302 hp engines, while the model 85 with 330-365 hp engines. A new cabin could be offered with a short day cab or with an extended sleeper cab. In 1993 the company presented the lightest version from this model range - a series 65.
