In the early 1970s, automobile plant has unveiled a 30-ton dump truck DAC 46-30 for construction sites and small quarries. It had an unusual design with left mounted single place cab and a conventional full-sized hood. Designers said that created a three-axle off-road dump truck, and pointed to the huge body. Load capacity was 30 tons. The trucks were equipped with two (!) 6-cylinder diesel engines rated at 135 hp each and one five-speed manual transmission. DAC 46-30 had a maximum speed of 60 km/h. Both rear axles were leading. Dimensions of the truck were 7895x3100x3200 mm. Tires size is 14.00-24.
