XCMG » 祺龙 (Qi Long) T-series
July 26, Chinese company XCMG introduced a new generation of trucks the 祺龙 (Qi Long) T-series. The series will include construction and road chassis with 260-460 hp engines. The cab is attached to the frame by a 4-point suspension and very similar to the cab of another Chinese truck - the FAW J5, and probably borrowed from this truck. But the front end is made in the corporate style with a huge V-shaped grille. The trucks have successfully passed the European ECE R29 tests for structural strength (test involves a blow to the front end of the cab and the static load on the roof). The official release reports about the availability of electric mirrors and heating of mirrors in standard equipment. It seems the progress came to China! Transmission could be 6-, 7-, 8-, 9-, 10-, 12- or 16-speed manual or semi-automatic. Braking system meets the requirements of ECE and GB12676, and can be optionally equipped with ABS and ASR, as well as disc brakes instead of drums.
