In 1984, General Motors do Brazil introduced a new generation of medium and heavy duty trucks Chevrolet. The new range included four series that were designated as 11000, 12000, 14000 and 22000 (somewhere you can find a prefix 'D' before the digital index, for example D14000), depending on payload. 14000 series trucks were produced in 2 or 3-axle versions, and 22000 series - only with 3 axles. Externally the trucks were completely changed. A new angular front end with an original shape and rectangular headlights, located at the bottom of the grille, was connected to the brand-new cabin. In the mid-90's General Motors do Brazil turned off the commercial vehicle production and concentrated on passenger cars.
