Chevrolet » Series 50 / 60 / 80 LCF '62

In 1962 all Chevrolet trucks received new grille. But if all other Chevrolet trucks of this year received 2 headlights instead of 4, the LCF range remained 4 headlights. The massive hoods remained, but their appearance was less predominant due to fact that the dual air scoops were now gone, and the parking lights were simply blended into the sheet metal. The L range included only gasoline models. The diesel version E80 received a completely different design of the front end. The trucks of the L range were produced in 4 weight classes:
- L50 with GVW of 16,000 lbs. Available wheelbases - 133", 145" and 175". The engine in standard - 135 hp Model 235 Six.
- L60 with GVW of 19,500 lbs. Available wheelbases - 121", 133", 145" 157", 175" and 197". The engine in standard - 150 hp Model 261 Six.
- L60-H with GVW of 23,000 lbs. Wheelbase and engine similar to L60.
- L80 with GVW of 25,000 lbs. Available wheelbases - 121", 133", 145" and 175". The engine in standard - 220 hp Model 348 V8.
