Chevrolet » Step-Van King '64
In 1965, Chevrolet introduced its biggest Step-van model - the Step-Van King - to complete the range of Step-Vans, consisted of a small Step-Van 7 and Step-Van Regular. This 10-, 10.5, 12- and 12.5-foot aluminum body was available in the P20 and P30 Series and was supplied by the Union City Body Co. The available height was 72" or 76". Body length and height choices bring the total number of body sizes to 8 in each series. And three different rear door sizes were offered: 38" or 60" double doors, 74" wraparound doors with piano hinges or strap hinges. A new 250-cu.-in. Six rated at 155 hp and the 292-cu.-in. Six rated at 170 hp were available for the Step-Van King model. The 159-cu.in. 3-53N diesel engine was available since 1967. It developed 82 hp.
