In 1960 the truck-line received distinctive new faces featured a huge hood sporting two simulated air scoops on either side of central emblem. Within these scoops was a small grille surrounding the parking / signal lights. Model Series designations for 1960 were completely revised. The new system began with a letter prefix. For example, a "C" prefix indicated a conventional cab, and tandem models received letter "M". The medium duty Viking range included C50 and C60 models. 2-ton model with GVW of 16,000 lbs produced with 4 variants of wheelbase: C5100 - 133 inch, C5200 - 145 inch, C5300 - 157 inch and C5500 - 175 inch. The 2-ton model C60 with GVW of 19,500 lbs (or 22,000 lbs in version C60H) has wheelbases: C6100 - 133 inch, C6200 - 145 inch, C6300 - 157 inch, C6500 - 175 inch and C6800 - 197 inch. The heavy duty Spartan range was represented by 2.5-ton C70 and C80 models. The range included models C71-C81, C72-C82, C73-C83, C75-C85 и C78-C88 with the same sizes of wheelbase as the medium duty range. The separate range was tandem trucks M70 with GVW up to 36,000 lbs. The trucks were offered as M73 (wheelbase of 157 inch), M75 (175 inch) and M78 (193 inch).
