American LaFrance » 100 Series Metropolitan
American LaFrance introduced its first modestly restyled motor fire apparatus in many years in 1926. Reviving a model name previously used by steam fire engines, the new 100 Series Metropolitan pumpers and ladder trucks featured a new, higher radiator and hood and updated metal cowl which enclosed the instrumental panel. The trucks had chain or bevel drive. In standard the 100 Series trucks had a 6 cylinder 105 hp engine.
