The Model 516 was Kenworth's first on-highway COE, designed to comply with the restrictive length law in Arizona. The Model 346 tandem drive, diesel powered truck, introduced a year later, was similar in cab configuration to Model 516. Characteristic features were side windows ahead of doors that had a sculptured lower edge to accommodate wheel openings.
