The first prototype of a future serial truck Iveco-Hongyan Genlyon was showed at the Autochina-2008 under the name Hongyan PowerTech. It is differed from serial truck by the inscription "Hongyan" under the windshield, instead of "Genlyon" in serial truck, and in installed of plastic fairings of the chassis. Serial production of the truck was began in 2009.
