Milton Manufacturing was founded in 1946 by Tom Milton in a small garage on the east side of Detroit. 20 years later the company became a Tier-1 Supplier to Chrysler. In 1977, Jim Green Sr. buys the business from Tom Milton. In 2005, the company purchased several companies and began making parts for SPAWAR in 2007. A year later Milton became a supplier to Navistar Defense.
