Mack NM with Leyland cab

After the World War 2, many military trucks Mack NM remained in the UK. Numerous of ex-war NM trucks were re-furbished into a commercial modifications by installation of cabs from Leyland trucks. Then, the re-cabbed trucks were working as a tow trucks (Strathpeffer operator), wreckers (Helmsdale-based Rapsons), snowploughs (Aberdeenshire County Council), etc.

Probably, most of the trucks were modified by the Mack Trucks Great Britain Ltd, of Barking Essex. In addition to local cabs, the trucks received AEC, Leyland, or Hercules engines.
