June 22, 2001 the successor of Mid-Liner model was presented in Las Vegas. The new cabover delivery truck is also produced in France by Renault Trucks and sells in USA under Mack Freedom name. In fact, it is Renault Midlum truck with Mack's logo. Customer can choose a truck with 2 types of cabins - day cab and sleeper cab. Freedom is available in 4 versions, related to the US classification of Class 6 and 7 (M, L, XL and XXL models). Model M (Class 6) is equipped with 17.5-inch wheels and has a cab with the lowest height of the floor in the class and only one step at the entrance. Models L (Class 6) and XL (Class 7) have 19.5-inch wheels and 2 steps at the entrance. Model XXL (Class 7) is equipped with 22.5-inch wheels and also has 2 steps at the entrance. Payload of the heaviest model XXL could reach 18 tons.
