Ural » 6363
In 2004, the prototype of a highway flatbed truck Ural 6363 4x2 was made. The unusual model was shown at the MIMS 2004 motor show in Moscow, where it was recognized as one of the best trucks of the exhibition.
The truck got a cab with a sleeping compartment from the old Italian IVECO TurboStar truck. It was a bit narrow and the roof was low, but the factory was planned to update these faults. The prototype was equipped with a 300 hp diesel engine YMZ-7601.10-14 which was combined with a 9-speed manual gearbox YMZ-239.
Ural 6363 has a curb weight of 9,050 kg and a total weight of 18,000 kg. It could reach top speed of 100 kph on a highway, thanks to the road tires with a dimension of 11.00 R20.
There is a new dashboard and center console of light plastic inside which are combined with dark interior details. The designers made only one bed, but this is a temporary solution for the prototype.
Ural 6363 was positioned as a cheaper competitor to MAZ trucks. But the plans did not come true: entering a new segment was considered too risky then.
