DAC » Roman range 2nd series
In 1984, after the license with MAN was ended, the Roman range was renamed to DAC. A little earlier, the Roman trucks were updated. Externally, they can be recognized by an increased size of the radiator grille and new front bumper with twin round headlights. Trucks were produced with wheel configurations from 4x2 to 8x4, with GVW of 7 to 38 tons. They were equipped with both old Romanian diesel engines rated at 120-320 hp or imported MAN, Deutz, Renault, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel and Navistar rated at 110 to 450 hp, multi-stage gearboxes ZF, Eaton, Spicer and Fuller. Indexation of models corresponds to the MAN's classification - numbers before the point mean the total mass of the vehicle, while after the point - the engine's power. There were also Also all-wheel drive versions.
