The first truck Brazilian-made Chevrolet came out from the General Motors do Brazil factory's gates in 1957 and was designated as the 6500 Series. The truck was a kind of symbiosis with North American version. For example, the cabin was developed in Brazil, but looked like the cabin of the US Chevrolets of 1948 . But the hood was made on the basis of a new design models of 1955 model year, but significantly revised because of warmer climate. These trucks were produced only 1 year and in 1958 were replaced with the upgraded model.
