MAN presented an unexpected concept truck MAN CitE for urban delivery at the IAA 2018. The 15-ton model has been developed in just 18 months.

Due to the fact that delivery drivers in urban areas can enter and exit their vehicles up to 30 times a day, MAN CitE got the low entry height (only 320 mm above the road level) and unique wide doors. The passenger's door is opened by pressing a button.

The driver has an excellent panoramic view due to a low seat position and large side windows. In addition, MAN CitE uses rear cameras, which provide a 360-degree view the complete absence of blind spots and safety when maneuvering.

MAN CitE is powered by an electric motor and can go up to 100 kilometers. This is more than enough for urban routes. The electric motor and the batteries are the same that used on an electric MAN eTGM.
