Baileys TotalFleet of Stroke-on-Trent in the late 90's produced special vans on the chassis of Volvo FL6 trucks. The van body can be ordered for both short and a long wheelbase chassis. There is a door on the left side of the body to enter the cab. Some versionswere equipped with separate doors for the driver and front passenger.
The Volvo FL6 chassis has a gross weight of 11 tonnes and is equipped with a 6-liter diesel engine rated at 180 horsepower and an automatic transmission. A silent running on board generator has been built into the vehicle.
Two vans are know: the N765YEF is a North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service Incident Commant Unit; and the T552ANV is an East Sussex Volvo Community Fire Safety Vehicle.
