Dennis Eagle » eCollect

Dennis Eagle showed a fully electric eCollect garbage truck at the IFTA exhibition in Munich. Initially, it will be available as a 26-ton 6x2 chassis in a narrow configuration with a 19m³ narrow rear loading body and automatic split-bin lift.

Lee Rowland, Sales and Marketing Manager at Dennis Eagle, said that "the new eCollect was the first fully electric RCV that received an excellent response at the IFTA." The production should begin in 2019, but before that time the electric truck will be tested by "selected customers."

It is expected that the eCollect will become popular among city operators who need environmentally friendly garbage trucks to work in places with clean air zone restrictions. Thanks to reduced noise during operation, the eCollect can be also used at night.
