AWD-Bedford » MK / MJ

The Bedford MK/MJ is a 4x4 variant of the TK. It was introduced to replace the Bedford BL and was used in large numbers by the British Armed Forces and others. From April 1981, Bedford changed the designation of the MK to MJ as the K multi-fuel engine was superseded by the J diesel engine. In 1987, production of both models — the MK and MJ — was restarted by AWD. The trucks got designations AWD-Bedford MK and AWD-Bedford MJ. Production continued for military only use until 1992 when AWD went into receivership.
