BAZ » 6952

During the development of BAZ 6944 amphibious chassis, in 70s BAZ made offroad chassis "Basis" to tranport military equipment, which later grew up in the 6950 range. The first prototype of a 12-ton BAZ 6952 was finished in 1976. It was fitted with an old metal cabin from MAZ-537. Another equipment was similar to another BAZ military chassis, such as 6950 and amphibious chassis 6944. In 1977-79, a small batch of BAZ 6952 chassis were made. It included flatbed versions and special chassis with military van bodies. The vehicles passed the government tests in 1980 and open the way for the BAZ 6950 range.
