Rainier
Veteran chassis designer Gary Jones launches Rainier Truck and Chassis LLC. The company is to manufacture custom COE work trucks and chassis.
According to Jones, Rainier is the only North American truck manufacture to offer a complete line of class 4 to 7 COE trucks since GM and UD pulled out of the market a few years ago.
Jones notes that Rainier is the only manufacture to offer gasoline, diesel, or alternative fueled power- trains in the entire truck line up, and that customers will have a choice of selecting a standard truck model from the line up or they can have a truck built per their specifications.
Currently the company is setting up a select group of dealers and taking orders. Production is targeted for forth quarter of 2014 and will be manufactured in Yakima, Washington.
